The both words sounds similar other than a prefix but have totally different meanings
ankündigen means announce
kündigen means resign
Both words antworten and beantworten mean to answer. The difference lies in the way of using it.
Beantworten is transitive and it always stays with an akkusative object. ( Was?)
Ich beantworte die Frage.
Beantworte meine Frage!
antworten+dative (Wem?)
Antworte mir!
Warum antwortest du mir nicht?
antworten+auf+akkusativ (worauf?)
Antworte auf meine Frage!
Sie hat auf meine Nachricht geantwortet.
Antworten is used more often than beantworten.
As you start learning German and preparing for language test, we would have all come across this phrase “meiner Meinung nach” which means ‘in my opinion’ in English. In each level of German test for example B1, B2 or C1 levels there will be speaking section and in that discussion teil we will always have to say our opinion. It will be redundant to use the same phrase “meiner Meinung nach” instead of that we can use the following phrases and it will also create a good impression to the examiner that we know more phrases.
